CLAY CITY, KY – Exciting for this year, GAS Bowstrings and Break the Barriers will be beginning a new partnership! Break the Barriers is known mostly in the archery community as a veteran outreach program and however this is one of their outreach programs, that doesn’t even touch the surface of what they encompass.
In archery, Break the Barriers seeks to be the most inclusive archery program in the United States. In addition, they host their own BTB Open tournament which pairs amateurs with pros to shoot at life-size custom targets special to the competition. This tournament helps bring awareness to archers of all abilities! In addition, all proceeds of the event go back to supporting Break the Barriers and those they serve.
Outside of archery, Break the Barriers offers “…free classes to families, military active duty and veterans, at-risk youth, and special populations.” Aquatics, gymnastics, dance, martial arts, literacy programs, and spectrum programs are just a few of the ways Break the Barriers reaches those they serve. They wish to bring understanding, acceptance, and respect to all of those with various abilities.
