CLAY CITY, KY- This past week kicked off NFAA Field Nationals, where archers had to trek through the woods to shoot one field, hunter, and animal round for a total of 252 arrows over the 3-day period!
The women’s compound class had great success for GAS Bowstrings shooters! Paige Pearce captured another first-place finish this past weekend scoring a total of 1858 and 170xs for the competition. She took a comfortable twenty-two-point lead over the second-place finisher! Rounding out the podium in third, GAS Shooter, Bella Otter, shot a 1781 and 117xs for her first-ever Field Nationals competition!
In the men’s compound class, Kyle Douglas notched another podium finish for himself this year as he came in third place with a 1875 181xs! Scores were tight in this class as only five points separated Kyle’s score from the first-place finisher!
Finally, in the men’s senior compound, two GAS Shooters made the podium! Bill Drake came in second place with an 1814 146xs closely followed by Mark Rubio in third place with an 1812 133xs.
Congratulations to all of the shooters who podiumed at this event and broke personal records! We are excited to see so many shooters competing with GAS Bowstrings and finding success on the podiums!
