Our quality control and attention to detail makes our strings the best in the industry.

Total Tensioning System

All GAS Bowstrings and cables are built with our proprietary Total Tensioning System (TTS) to create superior string stability and ensure zero creep, peep rotation & serving separation.

This process is unlike many bowstring manufacturers, who simply stretch their strings and cables at a set weight. By tensioning our strings throughout the building process, we create stability and zero movements by combining individual strand equalization and total string tensioning.

Step One

Prior to installation, make sure your cams have no noticeable nicks or burrs in the tracks and around the cam posts where the strings and cables attach. A sharp cam post can cut the end loop serving of your string or cable during installation. Also, pay close attention to the alignment of your cams and any excessive cam lean through the draw cycle as this can rub the servings and cause premature wear. Another area to pay close attention to is the cable slide. Make sure there are no rough edges or blemishes on the cable grooves where the cables run through as these can also cause premature wear. Any damage to the string and/or cables in these areas is not covered by the GAS Bowstrings warranty.

Step two

Use only a bow manufacturer-approved bow press to install your GAS Bowstrings. Any damage to strings and/or cables due to improper installation is not covered by the GAS Bowstrings warranty and may also be due to damage to your bow. GAS Bowstrings is not responsible for any damage done to your bow or other accessories due to improper installation of strings and/or cables.

Step Three

Your GAS Bowstring comes with a peep sight indicator installed from the factory. This is the small piece of material located above the center serving. Do not remove the peep sight indicator prior to peep installation. It’s recommended that you shoot the bow 3-5 times prior to peep sight installation to properly settle the strings into the bow’s string and cable grooves. Once the strings are settled, use a bow manufacturer-approved press to install the peep in the center of the string using the indicator. Do not use a string separator to install any peep sight on a GAS Bowstring. Damage done to your string by using a string separator tool to install the peep sight is not covered under the GAS Bowstrings warranty. Once the peep sight is installed, the indicator thread can be removed. It is strongly recommended that you tie or serve your peep sight in before shooting your bow. Failure to tie or serve in the peep sight can cause the peep to come out of the string during the shot. Once your peep is tied in, check your peep alignment and make ½ turn adjustments to the string until proper alignment is achieved. Step Four

The length of your new GAS Bowstrings is guaranteed to be accurate, however, sometimes small adjustments are needed to achieve precise cam timing, peep alignment, and performance. To adjust the length of your GAS Bowstrings, add or remove twists in ½ twist increments. To ensure consistency, stability, and reliable performance of your new GAS Bowstrings, it is recommended that you do not remove more than 1-2 twists or add more than 5-6 twists when making adjustments.
