CLAY CITY, KY– The 2022 Buckeye Classic proved to be yet another successful competition for GAS Bowstrings shooters! Many were placed at the top of their classes during qualifications and then held or improved on those positions during eliminations.
Danelle Lutz had an amazing finish at the Buckeye Classic as she won in the compound senior women’s division! She fought against some tough competition during the eliminations, but shot a 147, a 146, and a 148 respectively on the way up to her gold medal match!
GAS shooters also had a great showing in the compound senior men’s division where James Lutz placed second and Kris Schaff placed third. James had a very tight gold medal match as he just fell short of first place by one point, shooting a 147 against his opponent’s 148! Kris Schaff had an exciting medal match as well where he was determined to earn bronze with a 150 score!
Two other GAS shooters placed in third at the Buckeye Classic and those shooters would be Jack Williams and Toja Ellison. Jack had an exciting medals match where he beat out his competitor by two set points, 6-4. Toja had a great bronze finish as well where she was able to beat out her competitor by 6 points with a 146-140!
This Buckeye Classic proved to be yet another successful competition for GAS Bowstrings shooters and we look forward to how the rest of this year will finish out for these amazing archers!
