CLAY CITY, Ky.- This past weekend was the World Cup Finals in Tlaxcala, Mexico. Multiple GAS shooters arrived with big goals in mind! For Sara Lopez, that goal was to take not her first or her second, but her seventh World Cup Finals gold medal!
In her final gold medal match, she went up against the current world’s number-one-ranked archer in the women’s compound division. Sara held strong as she finished out her match 148-146! Sara now sits as the second-ranked women’s compound archer in the world. She holds 7 World Cup Final gold medals and 24 gold, 7 silver, and 7 bronze World Cup stages during her archery career. She holds 4 world records, and her most current record was from this year’s World Cup in Medellin!
