Choosing your proper nock fit is just as important as selecting the proper bow model when selecting strings. For maximum performance, we recommend specifying your desired center serving diamter using our guide.
Center Serving Too Tight:
- Accelerated center serving wear
- Stress on nocks can cause cracks and spread the nock throat
- Poor vertical grouping as new nocks will hit different than older nocks
- Nocks may stay on string after arrow is shot -> Safety Concern
Center Serving Too Loose:
- Nock may not stay on string -> Will act like a dry fire
- String can wallow out the nock throat causing nock to fit even more loosely
- Poor grouping as the string will propel the arrow from different points in the nock throat from shot to shot
- Arrows may fall off at full draw -> Safety Concern
