CLAY CITY, KY– The World Archery Field Championships took off in Yankton on October 3rd with archers from around the world competing in a half-known, half-unknown round of field archery. Several GAS shooters were in attendance and many of those shooters had great finishes!
Two archers who made a lasting impression on the competition were Paige Pearce and Toja Ellison. Paige and Toja had to go into a one-arrow shoot-off for gold where their arrows hit just about perfect. Paige’s arrow was just a smidge closer to the center, giving her the gold medal to defend her title as Champion! Toja then finished close behind in second place. Paige had another great finish in mixed teams where she and her teammate placed first.
Brady Ellison made a week for himself where he earned a bronze medal in mixed teams, a bronze medal in men’s teams, and finished 4th individually. Mike Schloesser was able to finish 4th individually and Tate Morgan finished 5thindividually at the World Field Championships!
Congratulations to all archers who participate and podiumed at this event! We are excited that many top-tier archers are shooting our strings to fuel their success!
