CLAY CITY, KY- This past weekend was the start of The Buckeye Classic which is the last USAT event in the series of qualifiers before Target Nationals. Archers had to compete against high winds and gusts while at the competition making it even more challenging to score well!
Three GAS shooters made top honors at the event! Paige Pearce worked her way up to her third straight gold medal for the year. This time, she took the gold! Paige won the match 145-142.
Finishing in second place, Grady Kane made his presence known during eliminations! At fifteen years old, Grady’s class was mixed in with the seniors for eliminations, but that did not faze him. He battled his way up to the gold medal match where he secured silver!
Last, but certainly not least, Tanja had a strong presence on the field during eliminations as well. Making it to the bronze medal match, Tanja shot a strong 149, missing only one ten on her first end, to take third place!
