CLAY CITY, KY- Last Friday marked the start of the European Games in Kraków, Poland! GAS shooters have already broken records and taken top positions in the competition.
Tanja Gellenthien and Mathias Fullerton have made sure to make the most of their time out in Kraków! Tanja finished up qualifications with an incredible 712 score, breaking a Denmark qualification record! Tanja now sits in second place with that score, just three points behind the first-place qualifier.
Together, Tanja and Mathias broke a world record with their mixed team qualification score of 1429! Then they went on to mixed team eliminations and secured second place!
In the men’s compound division, the top three shooters after qualifications were all GAS Bowstrings shooters! Mike Schloesser takes the first-place position with his incredible score of 718, Mathias sits in second place with a 717, and Nicolas Girard sits in third place with a 716!
Congratulations to all of these shooters so far in the competition! The European Games will continue through to the 29th, so make sure to follow these archers as they finish up their individual eliminations matches throughout the week.
